You can meet these dogs every Sunday at 11:00 at Long Beach Petco, 6500 Pacific Coast Highway, next to Whole Foods at the Alamitos Bay Marina.  If you have a specific dog in mind it would be best to send us an email ahead of time.

We get our rescue dogs from the shelters in YOUR community.  We left a lot behind.

Adoption Info:

Juno is a male Yorkie-Poo that is 9 months old and weighs about five pounds.

He was brought into the shelter as a stray so we have no idea what happened to his front leg.  We do know that it has a fracture and our Vet thinks that with a few weeks of rest that it will more than likely heal fairly straight (he is currently in a cast).  Juno is a complete little doll if he is being carried, sitting on your lap or is otherwise attended to.  He is very friendly with other dogs and wants nothing more than to play.  Juno needs a temporary foster where he isn't tempted to romp with another dog, or a foster to adopt that just wants one active little dog for the time being.  He is neutered and microchipped as well as current on all of his shots.  Our adoption group will need to do a follow-up medical on his leg.  This is a healthy, happy, sweet little dog that just needs a little re-hab time.  Please call Louise for more information 562-897-5282

 
Puppies, three months old and weighing about six pounds.   We expect them to be about 20 pounds when full grown.  Red one is Tori, the female.  Lightest one is Aaron, and the tan one is Randy.   They are ready for homes NOW (and so are we).
Paris is a poodle mix (probably with Maltese).  She is great with other dogs and is fine with cats.  She loves to play and weighs 11 pounds.  We estimate that she is 3 years old.
This is Chino, probably some sort of cockery mix, male, about four years old.  McNulty weighs about 20 pounds and seems like a quiet gentle dog.
This is Gene, a two year old three pound Chihuahua.  Please check back for more details.  We expect he will be ready for a new home by about July 15.
This is Yoda, a tiny apple head male Chihuahua.   Yoda is about two years old and is about four pounds.  He is ready for a new home now.   For Halloween you could spray paint him day glow green and be the hit of the neighborhood.

Ennmett is shown here in a clown costume as he would make the perfect circus dog.  He has a ton of personality, loves to play, and is downright silly!  He weighs about 7 pounds and is mainly long legs.  He is probably a malti-poo.

Emmet is probably 2 years old.  He would do well with another dog.  He is energetic but he loves to cuddle as well.

 

Bluff is male maltese poodle mix.  We believe he is 2-3 years old.  Bluff weighs about 5 pounds and has a darling coat of cream and apricot curls.  Bluff is visually impaired (probably from birth).  We believe he sees shadows.  His vision or lack there of does not slow him down one bit.  He is eager to go for walks, loves the car, is great with people and other dogs.   

Bluff has a darling personality, he's not the least bit timid.  He would do well in any home but would be safest where there aren't a lot of stairs or other hazards.

 
This is Quark, a three month old puppy.  Quark will be ready for a new home by about July 15. 
This is Nikey, a little female Chihuahua mix about two years old.  She is very gentle and quiet.   Weighs about six pounds.

Please check back later for a better photo not on a black background.  Black dogs are very hard to photograph.  All you can see right now is the pink collar.
This is Odie, a two year old  boston terrier mix.  Odie is chunky and short, probably weighing 20 pounds although he looks like he should weigh about ten pounds.  He is incredibly friendly and good natured.
Avril is a Maltese or westie mix, about 12 pounds, and about a year old.  

Tyler is a male  mini poodle.  His paperwork says he is a senior but we are thinking that he is 5 to 8 years old.  He is very active.  This is a dog that has probably spent his entire life living in a backyard uncared for.  The nicest thing his previous owner ever did for him was dump him at the shelter.  He is very loyal and loving in his foster home.  Tyler would do well with a young senior or a quiet household.

We are a rescue organization centered in Orange County, CA. We have no  kennel facility, our animals are in foster homes and part of someone's family until they find a home of their own. If you would like to meet a dog you see featured on our site please fill out the application and email it back to us and we will get back to you within 3 days.

Please note that there is an adoption fee charged for each animal placed. The adoption fee goes directly to the care of the dogs we currently have in foster homes. All of our dogs, including the puppies, are altered and current on vaccinations before adoption.

If you do not see a dog you would like to adopt please check back often as we do have new arrivals all the time.
