Misc. Dog Training Sites
http://www.webtrail.com/petbehavior/index.html
This is Bill Campbell's site and is very interesting for many reasons. His books "Behavior Problems in Dogs"
and "Better Behavior in Dogs" are offered for sale. Both books are recognized classics in the
field of dog behavior.
That page will lead you to another page that has Bill Campbell's article "How Dogs Think A
Non-Verbal Link to Canine Communication" - this article is very important for understanding dog
behavior. And, you may want to review Bill Campbell's page: http://www.webtrail.com/petbehavior/case.html
which lists the BehavioRx Case of the Month. If you read over all the other monthly cases listed, you can gain general behavioral knowledge
from them. A note on Bill Campbell - As I understand it, he is one of the most recognized
"names" in the dog behavior field. He has also been around for about a hundred years! His works
provide a solid background, but others have gone on beyond his work.
This is a very wonderful site:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Academy/8636/Clicker.html#Learning
It is called "An Animal Trainer's Guide to Operant and Classical Conditioning" and gives a wonderful overview.
Of course, everyone who is interested in behavior modification must read Karen Pryor's book:"
Don't Shoot the Dog!" and if you are interested in Clicker Training, read her booklet "A Dog
and A Dolphin 2.0" Karen Pryor's site is: http://www.dontshootthedog.com/
Because of the popularity of clicker training, there are many, many sites on it - one is:
http://www.inch.com/~dogs/clicker.html
For those of you who would like more information on crate training and housebreaking you might
want to check out some of these sites:

Acme Pets Home Page -
This is truly a very complete site that links to hundreds of other sites including
rescues, shelters, informational sites, breed specific sites, etc. If I'm doing any
research I start here.
Puppy Works - This site
specializes in dog training and is perhaps more tailored to dog trainers than the general
public. They are located in the San Francisco area and have conferences and guest
speakers.
National Animal Poison Control Center -
This is part of the ASPCA and provides information about poison prevention and also
includes a fee-based emergency poisoning service.
Art Bell - Cat Box Page -
This is definitely the web site for cat lovers. It has many pictures, stories, and
links to other cat related areas.
