This is Nick, my Bichon.  I have had him two years now.  He is about five years old.

This was Nick right after he came out of the shelter.  The vet put his leg in a cast for more than two months.

He was very dirty and I could not bathe him.  All I could do was keep his fur very short.

This was Nick right after his surgery.  I have always had poodles and am pretty good with a poodle cut, and that is why his ears and poof look poodley here.

 

 

This is Bella   I got her the same day as Nick.  She was 14 and her family said she was too old.  She is the sweetest and best dog ever and just fine two years later.
This is a photo of Nick taken yesterday, 2/22/2009.  He is not at all handicapped.  He can jump up on my chair, bed, and he runs very fast.
